Improve lighting effects
When the box cover has a reflective effect, the lighting effect will be more ideal, just paint the inner wall of the box cover white. But do not use tin foil paper as a lining, tin foil paper will block the special vent hole on the box cover, which is not conducive to the emission of carbon dioxide and heat of the lamp.
Installation location of lighting
The lighting lamp should be installed in the box cover, so that the light source is illuminated from top to bottom to achieve a shadowless effect. The lighting lamp installed in the water is more likely to cause shadows that hinder viewing.
Box cover with fluorescent lamp
Choose a light tube suitable for the length of the box cover. If it is difficult, you can use a shorter one. Fluorescent lamp terminals need to be equipped with waterproof caps to avoid erosion by water splashes. Although its price is higher than that of incandescent bulbs, it has a long service life, heat generation, and even illumination.
Starter installation location
A choke coil or transformer is required when using fluorescent lamps. Unlike daily fluorescent lamps, this device is a non-built-in split structure, often installed on the compartment cover, compartment cover, or placed beside the aquarium. But because the device is heavy, it is not conducive to the balance of the box cover when it is installed in or on the box cover. If you plan to use more fluorescent tubes, the starting device is not suitable for installation on the box cover.
Safety element
Electricity and water are incompatible, and the aquarium cannot avoid this problem, so extra care is required. The lighting lamp is installed close to the water surface, and the water splashed by fish, air bubbles or filters often falls on the hot lamp tube, which may cause an explosion. Waterproof lamps should be used to prevent the erosion of the feed water, and a glass cover plate should be added to the aquarium to separate the feed water from the reflective box cover. The glass aquarium has only one narrow side for placing the glass cover plate, so the glass cover plate can be divided into two pieces.
